Effective October 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Arc ("Arc", "we", "us") collects through the Arc website (arcgoalgetter.com) and the Arc iPhone app, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. If you have questions, email hello@arcgoalgetter.com.
Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email (or Apple's private relay address), and from Google, your profile picture.
Goals and plans. The goals you create, your answers to Arc's goal questions, milestones, tasks, the time you have available to work, focus session history, and progress.
Messages with Arc's AI. What you type to Arc and the replies it generates. On the website we keep a history of these conversations; in the app they are part of your saved workspace.
Profile details you choose to add (website): for example your grade, birthday, school, city, interests, activities, skills, resume details, and profile picture. These are optional.
ArcConnect (website, optional): your ArcConnect profile, the students you connect with, and the messages you send them. Voice calls are not recorded.
Calendar busy times (iPhone app, optional): if you allow calendar access, Arc reads the start and end times of your upcoming events so it doesn't schedule work over them. Event titles, locations, and attendees are not read or uploaded.
Reports you send. If you report an AI response, we store the reported text, the reason you chose, and any note you add.
Purchases (website, optional): a record of coin purchases and shop items. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy; we never receive your card number.
Email activity. Update emails about Arc can contain a small image that tells us when an email was opened, along with the IP address and device type that opened it. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the link in each email.
Technical information. Our hosting providers process your IP address and browser or device details to deliver the service, and we collect anonymous page-view and performance statistics on the website.
In the iPhone app, the apps you choose to block during focus sessions are selected through Apple's Screen Time system. Apple doesn't reveal to Arc which apps you picked, and that selection never leaves your device. Reminders are scheduled as local notifications, and the home-screen widget reads your next session from your device.
We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We share information only with the service providers below, and only what each one needs to do its job for Arc. We don't share your information publicly, except profile details you choose to show other students through ArcConnect or a public profile. We may also disclose information if required by law.

About AI. In the app, Arc asks your permission before sending anything to an AI provider, and you can turn AI features off in Settings. We send only the text each request needs and never your password. AI providers process this text to generate a response under their own terms and may keep it for a limited time, for example to detect abuse. Please don't type sensitive personal information (like health details or passwords) into Arc.
You can delete your account and its data at any time:
Deleting your account removes your profile, goals, tasks, plans, AI conversations, ArcConnect messages and connections, resumes, reports, and sign-in records. You can also email us to get a copy of your data or to correct it. To stop calendar access or notifications, change the permission in your iPhone's Settings.
Arc is for students aged 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it. If you're under the age of majority where you live, please review this policy with a parent or guardian.
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as hashes, and AI provider keys stay on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information from loss and unauthorized access.
If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
Questions or requests about your privacy: hello@arcgoalgetter.com.
